cost codes

Is it possible to have cost codes assigned to tasks?
ie. 01a- run pipe above ground
01b- run pipe below ground
03- pull wire
05- connect switch gear

and then be able to run reports based on cost codes?

The answer is yes, and you accomplish this by customizing fields in Project.
Select Tools > Customize > Fields.
