Was unable to install Office XP SP3 because program could not locate
PRORET.MSI on the original install disk or anywhere on my computer

Could it be that you have a Trial version? Do you have PROTRI.MSI on your
computer or install media?

This file belongs to an Office XP Professional installation, if you don't
have Office Pro installed than you may have a corrupted installation. First
try running a repair on your installation (Help menu -> Detect and Repair).
If that doesn't work then try uninstalling and reinstalling Office if you
have your CD handy.
