Could we change the email rules of Pwa2007?

hi friends,

As we all known,by default all of the engineers will receive the reminded
email when PM update the project. I want to know if we can change the email
rules that only the engineers who had submited updated tasks or have new
assignments receive the reminded email .

I really appreciate your help and suggestions. thanks.

I believe that any assignment that has changed whether it was due to updates
submitted by a resource or a change the PM made to the task in Project Pro
will be flagged with the New or Changed flag (the little mail letter simbol
in the indicator column). These should be the only tasks that send out
notifications to the resources on a re-publish and should only go to
specific resources not all. On the publish pop-up, the exact resources and
assignments that will receive the notification is also visible. Once the
puslish is complete, this New or Changed Assignment flag should be cleared
and no alerts should go out on any subsequest publishes unless a task
assignment has changed. Are you not finding this to be the case?

Thank you for the response Johnathan . Yes I found this to be the case you
described. But in multiple-resource tasks, the notify-rules maybe puzzled
the engineers. For example, engineer A and Engineer B are both assigned to
task1 . When engineer A updated task on PWA, PM accepted it and republish
the project,
engineer A and Engineer B both received the notify-email. Vice versa.
Engineers would not to receive the task's notify-email that had been
completed by him.

Of course, It is not a bug for ps2007.
