couldn't send groups larger than about 10

Could you help me on this:

mac os 9.2
outlook express 5.02

since last re-installation of my office, OE is refusing sending messages to
groups larger than about 10 addresses

an error message is received saying

A message in your Outbox could not be sent.
The server did not recognize the recipients.

is that something I can fix ? and how ?
