count rows by font color

I've changed the font color in numerous rows for visual flagging purposes
and want to know if I can do a formula that allows me to count by font color
equals red?

I'd use a helper cell that returned the value of the font color. Then sort by
that column.

Cannot be done by Excel Functions alone. Need VBA.
