Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to get a counter on my homepage with
only myself being able to view it?

Your web space provider most likely will have counters. Mine can tell me who
visited what pages, what software they were using to view the pages, where
they got the link to the site, and how long they viewed each page. That's
just for starters, so check with your provider.
