Counting Characters

Is there any way to count the number of characters in an individua
cell? For example, if I have the word "revenue" in Cell A1, I woul
like Cell B1 to return 7 in cell B1

=LEN(A1)

if you want to exclude spaces use
=LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1," ",""))
