Counting Occurence of Repeat Numbers

I have a list of random numbers in one column. Some of these numbers are
repeat numbers. Is there a way of automatically counting the numbers of
times each number appears in the list

Nick,

A pivot table can do this. Drag the heading for the column into the row
area, and into the data area. Set it to COUNT. The steps vary slightly
depending on the release of Excel.

As Earl has suggested a Pivot Table would be best.
