Counting similar cells and summing each

Hi all, Im new around here.

Needed some help doing a spreadsheet that counts the number of cells
counting the same data (sorted), and doing a summation of each count
beside the last ocurring cell. Is it possible to be done? Please refer
to the image i've posted, and many thanks for the help!

Hi!

Try this:

=IF(B2=B3,"",COUNTIF(B$2:B$20,B2))

Copy down as needed.

Assuming your data is in columns A and B in C2 enter the formula:
=IF(B2<>B3,COUNTIF($B$2:$B$30,B2),"")
Adjust the range $B$2:$B$30 to include all the data in column B. Then
copy the formula down as far as needed.
