counting

Is there a countif (or other) statement that will count all numbers in a
column within a range ie everything between 400 & 499

or
=SUMPRODUCT((A1:a100>=400)*(A1:A100<=499))

or
=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A100>=400),--(A1:A100<=499))
