Crash when cut and paste text

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel PowerPoint crashes for me when I cut and paste text. It's okay if I cut and paste boxes. I'm using OS 10.5.8 ahd PP version 12.0. Is there a patch or upgrade to 12.0?

And, footers are not showing in presentation/slide mode although the footers are in the Master pages. I don't want to cut and paste in the footer because, as above, PP crashes.

There absolutely is an update... In fact, you've missed several if you're
still running at 12.0 ‹ 12.2.3 is what's current, & what you're reporting is
symptomatic of not keeping Office updated.

In any of the Office apps go to Help> Check for Updates, then let AutoUpdate
do it's thing. It will need to fetch both the 12.1.0 & 12.2.3 updates. I'd
also suggest that you not launch any of the Office apps until the updating
is completed *and* you've run Disk Utility - Repair Disk Permissions &
restarted your Mac.

You might also consider setting AutoUpdate to run automatically on a weekly
or monthly basis in order to avoid getting that far behind again.
