Create a forum

Hi

I want to create a orum on my site (www.nigs1000.f2s.com/index.htm) but do
not know where/how to start but I do know that I need a database to contain
the info for login etc etc.

Can someone please explain or offer a tutorial (for the simpleton and in
plain English) how to go about this. Also how would I go about creating a
sensible forum from scratch. I am using Dreamweaver to create my site but
have been told that to use it to create such things like forums would make
the page size extremely large.

Your help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Nig

This is a Microsoft ACCESS newsgroup. We help build databases in Access,
not create newsgroups or chartrooms.

I know. But ACCESS is used to create a database which I will need to store
details that will be needed for a forum. Yes?

Forums do use a database. The easiest solution for a beginner is to
download and install one of the open source freeware or low-cost commercial
shareware packages. They are feature-rich, well-tested, and supported. One
example is at http://www.phpbb.com

Best,
Christopher
