Create a index for documents in a folder

Is there a way to create a index or quickly search a folder containing
documents. I have over 500 in a folder and I can't do anymore sub folders
because they don't break down in category any more. I need to be able to
search the folder using keywords and it search not only the document title
but the contain. Is this possible?

Did you turn on Indexing in the operating system for the drive in
question? Please go to windows Help and look up Indexing Service.
