create a second list of contacts

I need to create a new list of contacts seperate from my business and be able
to switch from one to another without blending the two. and How do I save a
client list onto a cd?

Are these Contacts in an Access database? Or are you talking about
Outlook contacts? IF so - you'll do better to ask the question in an
Outlook newsgroup; this one is for Microsoft Access.

If you do have a contact management database set up in Access, please
describe the tables. I would suggest simply adding another ContactType
field and using queries to separate business from personal contacts.
