create a taskbar button to insert a frequently used logo in 1 step

I've seen it done before...
I'm trying to create a button on the taskbar that represents 1 specific logo
which i add to documents frequently. This saves the extra steps of "insert
picture from file" etc: by pushing just the one button the logo appears in
the document at my cursorpoint.
thanks

Here's one way:
1. Record and save a macro that performs the "insert picture from file"
functionality.
2. Customize a toolbar and drag the macro name onto it. Drawback: it's kinda
ugly because the whole path to the macro appears in the toolbar.

Why not save the logo as an AutoText entry? You can then assign it to a
button is you like, but you could also assign a keyboard shortcut or just
give it a unique name and use the AutoComplete feature to insert it.

You can clean up the appearance by editing the button. I do it all the
time, I shorten the text to show only the name of the macro itself. You
can also create your own button.

Sparky, you didn't say what version of Word you have. In Word 2000, do
this:

1. Right-click on a toolbar, select Customize
2. Click the Commands tab.
3. Click the toolbar button you want to edit
4. On the Customize window, click " Modify Selection". Slide the cursor
up to the "Name:" window and edit it to suit you.

OR

4. On the Customize window, click " Modify Selection". and play with
the "Button Image" tools.

I still say a macro is overkill when AutoText will serve the purpose
adequately.
