create address book from excel file

I have a list of e mail address in an excell file how do I turn that into an
address book for outlook to enable me to send an e mail to all those
addresses? I will need detail please.

Try this:
- export your Contacts folder to a CSV or XLS file
- use that file as a template to create your import file
- once created import into Outlook using the File menu > Import & Export
command

Thanks but I must be doing somrthing wrong because I have tried something
like this but cannot get it to work. Can you give me step by step details
please.

Having said that I have now got it to work but as far as I can see that puts
the various e mail addresses in my contacts folder and I want to keep them as
a separate Personel address book. I s that possible?

Outlook doesn't use the Personal Address Book any more. It's llong
obsolete.

Alternatively, you can leave the addresses in Excel and use it as a
mailmerge source.

Hello, how do you go about doing this. I have looked in both excell and
outlook and cannot find anything that allows me to merge info from an excell
file to use as my addresses.
