Create an Excel filter via form combo box

Thank you for all the awesome support of these discussion groups. Love this
newsgroup!

I use Excell 2003 and am trying to create a custom filter via a Combo Box
criteria. This should be very easy for you experts. ComboBox is called
"ComboBox30". Column C needs to be filtered for "contains" and then lookup
value in this box.

2nd nice to have functionality would be for the combo box to lookup results
based on the letters typed into the box by the end user.

Hi Carrie;

Why not just use the Data> Filter> AutoFilter or the Advanced Filter? Seems
to me like you're attempting to re-invent the wheel :) & I believe that in
order to do it the way you're going will require VBA support.

BTW: You've posted to the Excel for Mac newsgroup. You're more than welcome
here & for many issues the answers are the same. For future posts, though,
it might be better to post to the corresponding Window Office group:
