Create carriage return using "=A1&A2" text merge?

I want to combine text from multiple cells into a single cell. I can do it by
using "=A1&A2" in the target cell. The problem is the text runs together. How
do I insert a carriage return to display the text from each cell on a new
line?

Format the target cell to wrap text and enter this formula:

=A1&CHAR(10)&B1
