Create default value for a number if not filled in Microsoft Access

How do i create a "ND" (NOT DONE) vaule if a number in a field has not
been entered? Like after someone enters data other data on the same
form, I don't want others thinking some feilds were skipped, but need
the value of "ND" there so the other users know that the field was not
completed yet. Does this make sense?
