I want to be able to create a button that can download my software for users
who visit my site. Can FrontPage do this and if so how.

Yes, create a image our your button, import it and your file that is to be downloaded into your
current open FP web / site, insert image button on your page, then right click on it and select
Hyperlink, then link to your file for download.

You may need to check with your web host if the file is not named with a .zip extension if you can't
upload it.

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services:
http://support.microsoft.com
If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a
security update, then there is usually no charge for the call.

Do the end users who dowload the file with the zip extension have to have
winzip software to view the file?

And is there another way to zip a file without using winzip.

No, if they have Windows XP, they can unzip files.
