Create lines for text in a form

A

Amy Harth

I am creating forms that will be used by people both in paper and on the
computer screen. I would like to be able to create a comments section that
has lines so that people who are filling it out on paper can write on the
lines. I would also like to use the text form field so that people who are
using the form on the computer can enter text like they are writing on the
lines. How do I create lines like this?

I cannot use a table because when you start typing if the text expands
beyond one line, it will not go to the next line in the table.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

It may be a bit fiddly to get it right, but in another document, create a
one column table with an appropriate column width and as many rows as you
want, then remove the borders from the left and right hand side, then copy
the table and then use Paste Special to paste it into your form document as
a Picture. Then using the Format Picture dialog set the Text Wrapping to
behind Text and position it as required.
