Create Outlook task is grayed out

Why are my options under "Create Outlook Item" grayed out. I have newest
updates of both Office and Onenote

These menu options ought to be available to you.

I don't recall seeing this problem for quite a while ... maybe since
the original release ... as far as I remember.

Can you look on Help | About OneNote and describe what is after 11.xxx
in the first line of normal text? I am assuming from your description
that you have SP2 but would like to be sure.

I uninstalled Microsoft office and then reinstalled it and it works fine now.
That was probably overkill but it worked.

I am having the identical problem, but reinstalling OneNote and Outlook has
not solved it. What next?
