Create own projects without changing others projects (what permissions?).

What minimal permissions/rights should I assign to a user to allow
creation his/her own projects and deny changing some other projects on
MS Project Server 2003 ?

(I am using Project Server 2003 + Project Prof 2003)

Thanks.

The default security permissions in Project Server 2003 allow each project
manager to edit only his/her own projects. If you wish for every project
manager to edit only his/her own projects but to be able to open everyone
else's projects Read-Only, then do the following:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the Manager users and groups link
4. Click the Groups link in the sidepane on the left
5. Select the Project Managers group in the grid and click the Modify Group
button
6. In the Categories section of the page, select the My Organization
category
7. In the Permissions grid of the Categories section, set the Open Project
permission to Allow
8. Leave the Save Project permission set to Not Allowed (neither Allow or
Deny is selected)
9. Click the Save Changes button

The above steps assume that you have not changed the default security
settings for Groups and Categories in Project Server. Hope this helps.
