Creating a chart of text data

How can you make a chart using Names in Column A and Places in Column B that
shows how many of the names are from say 7 particular places.

Ex:
A B
Don Boston
Jude New York
Laura Atlanta

You could use seven COUNTIF worksheet functions or a Pivot Table to get the
counts.

And you could use a Bar or Column chart type to display the results.
