Creating a Customized HTML E-mail Message

J

John

Hi --

I need to create an e-mail message for a business announcement. I've had
someone design it, and now I need to actually create it in Outlook. I don't
really know how to begin.

It needs to be an HTML message as there are links throughout the
announcement to the Web site. Do I build it like I would a Web page and
somehow import it into Outlook?

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Unless you really want to lose your customers, DON'T ever send in HTML. It
is bad.

The only morons who purposely send in HTML are spammers.

You can send links in a plain text email just fine.

So WHY is it nonsense? Do you not see that the vast majority of emails which
are HTML formatted are spam?

Hello?

Get a clue - HTML email is plain wrong. HTML is for web pages.

Not for e-mail. :)

No, that is not what I see. Also, I don't get a lot of spam, nor do my
clients, because of decent anti-spam filters....and there is also a lot of
plain-text spam. The two are not related.

That is a personal opinion, somewhat old-school, to which you are entirely
entitled. I don't have a problem with HTML mail because email can benefit
from formatting, and Rich Text is useless if you're trying to send to
non-Outlook recipients. Spam needs to be combatted via other means and I'm
not sure why you think it's relevant to the topic of this thread.
