Creating a drop-down menu effect

I want to create a comprehensive drop-down menu selector
such as the black menu bar at the top right of the
Microsoft home page: http://support.microsoft.com

Any hints or tutorials anyone might have would be an
awesome help and will be of great value to me! Thanks in
advance!
