Hi

would anyone steer me in the right direction please. I do not have access,

Not enough information here to hazard a guess.

Please provide a few details on what type of form and slight modifications
required.

Maybe even a message ID of the threads you followed?

Hi Gord, thanks for the response

Headings on sheet

A1 - Number
B1 - Despatch date
c1 - into comp date
d1 - Carrier
e1 - Quantity

I have so far created the form following the link below. (without the coding).
Not sure "What type of form" this is.

What you found at that site is instructions for creating and using a
UserForm.

I could never aspire to providing more help than Debra has given at that
site.

Did you download either of the the sample workbooks?

Modifications will be made depending upon your requirements for different
labels and linked cells.

You may be better off simply using the built-in Data Form Excel provides.

See Debra's site for instructions and a link to John Walkenbach's Enhanced
Data Form.

Thanks Gord

I did download the file PartLocDB ,. It was almost what I wanted, with the
exception, that it obviously did not pick up any data already in the data
base and created a new record - thats the tweek I would be looking for. (not
that i am saying it is an easy tweek!)

Thanks again

That's all the userform in PartLocDB does.

Appends new records to an existing database sheet or starts a new
database............in that sample workbook the PartsData sheet is hidden
and would contain your existing records.

If you want to be able have a form that allows new entries and is searchable
the built-in Data Form is what you need.

Or John W's enhanced form.
