Creating A "Master Page" in Word

I am trying to create a template that will be used by both Mac & PC users.
Each page in the template needs to have the same graphic in the lower right
hand corner. Text entered into the template needs to flow around the
graphic. I can set up a document that accomplishes this, but it is a less than
ideal solution.

In PowerPoint I can create a slide master that contains the same elements on
each page. I want to do something similar in Word. All pages in the
document must contain the graphic in the lower right hand corner - and
text needs to flow around this graphic. When I create this template in Word,
it works fine for the first page, but any new pages do not contain the
graphic.

Is this possible in Word?

I know the graphic can be copied, pasted and positioned onto subsequent
pages, but this is a recipe for disaster as it forces my users to do the work
and there's no guarantee they'll do it right.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Also, is it possible to lock the graphic in place so that it can't be moved or
altered, yet still allow users to enter text around it?

Put the graphic in the header or footer. Set the layout to Square and Allow
OVerlap to false. Graphics attached to the header or footer do not have to
fall within the header/footer area -- they can be anywhere on the page.
