Creating a master schedule

Is there a way to create a master schedule (only to view) from two separate
schedules. Still allowing changes and updates on the originals and automatic
updating on the master?
I am a first time Project user, please help.

Yes.
Open the two projects.
Go to the "Window" menu in project.
Select "new window"
Select the two projects.
Click OK.
Save the file and the subfiles.
