Creating a screen demo video from Powerpoint 2007

Let me start by saying that I am unsure that Powerpoint 2007 can do this at
all.

I want to find out whether Powerpoint 2007 can be used to create stand alone
video (wmv/mpeg) of an application demonstration.

Basically I want to execute and application and capture the screen (or just
the application window) and have something record the screen (showing mouse
movements) and voice so that it can be turned into downloadable 'demo' of
some feature of the software.

I was told Powerpoint could do this, I am using ppt2007. Can this be done?
If so, how? If not, what is the best tool to use to achieve this?

Thank you in advance,

Hi Carlos,

You may want to also post this in the Powerpoint discussion group directly, using the link below.

Hi Mary,

WMM does not allow me to create a video from what I am doing on my screen. I
would need a video camera pointed at the screen to effect what I need to
achieve.

If I am wrong in this please let me know.
