creating a simple view

I'm new to access...i'm trying to creat a simple "view"

I have 41000 rows of data...and when I link it to my "DMA" table so i can
create a view of the 41000 rows of data that has the store numbers...I can
also see the DMA region

when i do this..it creates additional rows... why is this happening?

Thank you so much

Because your DMA table has more than one linked record for
some/all of the records in your table??

If the data field(s?) you have selected from the DMA table
are all have the same value for any given record in your
table, you can collapse all identical records to one record
by setting the query's Unique Values property.
