Creating a Standard Word Document

I

Ivan

I am trying to create a standard word template document that can be used
again and again, but without having to create a new document each time.

I would like 90% of the document to be pre-set and then all I have to do is
insert the changes for certain parts of the document.

i.e. change Client name, client age, client address, etc etc

Can anybody tell me how to do this and have certain words or paragraphs
highlighted so that I know what to change every time I go into the document.

not really, you don't want to
create a standard word template document,

what you want word to do is to create a
"form" based on your description

I would set up a 3-column table for this, with my left column for numbers,
the second, for the questions (Client name, client age, client address, etc.)
Put a question in each row. Then you can put the answers in the right
(third) column, which will even expand for the length of the answer.

Save the original as a template (File, Save As, document type = document
template *.dot). Every time you use it, you can then give the new file a new
name. Make sure you save the new document as a Word document, *.doc.

Good luck.
