We have done this by first creating a traffic light column in the project plans, in our case by using the Number fields (Number1 we use for SV, Number2 we use for CV). We then created a view on PWA which displayed this field. The calculation ranges for the traffic light are contained in the field in the project plan, and the PWA view only displays that column but does no additional calculations. We are also using an outline code to further group the tasks by a stated deliverable, and an Enterprise Outline Code to group the main project view by sponsoring department. The only drawback is that if the project plan does not use the Number1 or Number2 field, the PWA view does not display anything at all.
