creating a template from scratch

I am trying to create a template from scratch, but I can not get it to save
properly. Isn't a template something I can create and then when I bring it
up the fields in the template won't move when I add data to it? The help
file in Word makes it seem EZ, but it just doesn't work for me and looks and
feels just like a word document and not a word template. What am I doing
wrong?
Thanks.

Good luck with it. If you have further troubles, you might want to post in
one of the Word groups -- maybe General Questions.
http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx is a link to
some of the various Office application groups.

Thanks for the link. I have it and hopefully will be able to use the
info
in there to create the template.
