Find any topic that you like and know about, and that
some other people will like as well.

Be yourself.

As to FrontPage, here on the FrontPage newsgroup, I think
you'll find everyone likes it.

I'm going to add one little thing. Regardless of what you put on your site
(with your parents' approval of course) and regardless of the program you
use - check your spelling. That's very important.

As for me - if I knew a 12-year old who had a site, I'd like to see what
kind of hobbies they had or learn about the town they live in. But like I
said - have your parents look over whatever you put on the Web before your
make it public. There are alot of really scary people out there.

Oh - and get a Hotmail address (I call mine my "junk account") or something
like that. Don't post your personal email address! And have fun and learns
lots of new things. You could be an MVP in a little while. :)

First off, take a look at the programs you like to use now. If you're
using Microsoft Word, it has web building capabilities already. Many other
word processing programs have web authoring capabilities too. Another
question is who is hosting your site? Many of the hosts that offer free
web hosting also offer free web building programs. Like someone else who
responded, at this newsgroup everyone is happy with Frontpage.

Second, as far as content put on your site things you're passionate about.
If learning website development is exciting to you then write about that.
Pick your interest and write about it. Keep it simple and direct though.
What interests you will come through on your website.

Third, read this newsgroup and others from time to time. Even if you don't
like Frontpage this group does offer helpful advice on topics relating to
web development in general. A good resource for newbies and anyone for
that matter on creating a site is www.webmonkey.com. The perfect place to
search for general answers to site development.

And fourth, definitely have your parent look over whatever it is that
you're doing. And use an email address for the site other than your
personal one.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Webmonkey is shutting down:
