Creating Add to button

I have a list box - ie., products to choose, like apple, orange, banana. I
want to be able to highlight an option in the box, and then by clicking on an
"add" button, have the highlighted option then appear in another field
(either controlled or uncontrolled) on the same field. Is this possible?
Having an option group or similar isn't really an option as there may quite a
few choices.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
