Creating an OLAP cube using Global Template fields

A

Andrew S.

Hello all,
I'm trying to create an OLAP cube that contains fields that are in our Global Template. I want to use this to create custom reports by exporting to an Excel template.
I'm logging into the Project server (Windows Server 2003) as Administrator using a workstation (Windows 2000 and Office XP) through Remote Desktop Connection.

When creating the OLAP cube, I found no way to specify that it should contain data from the Global Template. How do I do this? Did I miss a step?

Thanks!
Andrew

Enterprise Project and Resource outline code fields appear automatically as
dimensions in the OLAP cube, and do not require any programming on your
part. Hope this helps.

Please reread my post. By default, ONLY the custom enterprise Project and
Resource outline codes are added as dimensions to the OLAP cube. This means
that custom enterprise Project, Task, and Resource fields ARE NOT added to
the OLAP cube, nor are enterprise Task outline codes. So, my questions to
you are:

1. What enterprise Project and Resource outline codes have you set up in
your Enterprise Global, if any?

2. What other custom enterprise fields are you looking for specifically in
the OLAP cube?

Let us know.

Thank you for your response, Dale.
I understand this to mean that all fields in the global template (default
fields and added fields) appear automatically as part of the OLAP cube. Two
questions, then:
1. I haven't been able to locate the global template fields on the
drag-and-drop "report builder" floating menu. Does this mean the Portfolio
Analyzer View is pointing to the wrong cube?
2. How can Portfolio Analyzer View be pointing to the wrong cube if global
template fields are included in every cube by default?
