creating and coding dialog boxes

Hi to all, If any one can help me with this I'd be most gratefull. Wha
I want to achieve is a dialog box that opens up automatically when
specific template is opened as a new document. When this dialog box i
called up I want it to contain several fields that the user woul
complete, when completed and the user hits ok I want the information i
the dialog box to populate some of the summary fields and custom field
in the document property dialog box, once the dialog box has bee
populated i can then write the field codes in my document to updat
various fields with the said word doc. I can make the dialog box that
want, I just dont have the wherewithall to write the associated code
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
