Creating calendar appointments by dragging emails?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel In Outlook, if you dragged an email to the Calendar tag, the program would allow you to create a new event in the calendar, by opening a window and asking the time frame.

I've tried doing this in Entourage and I haven't been able to find the trick. Any help?

Hi,

this is possible in Outlook, but not in Entourage. However, you can
easily create a new item (calendar event, to do, note) via AppleScript.
Select an email, then click on the tiny black scroll icon in the menu
bar and choose the appropriate script.

Thanks for the reply!

Which would be the appropriate script? Didn't see anything that could be related.

Which would be the appropriate script? Didn't see anything that could be
related.

The default scripts are:

Create Event from Message\cE (The info after the \ is a shortcut:
Control-E.)
Create Note from Message\cN
Create Task from Message\cT
Insert Text File...
Open e-mail folder
Save Selection...

Using AppleScripts with Entourage

Another option is to open the message in it¹s own window. Select the Links
icon at the top of the message. Select ³Open Links². In the links window,
select to new event in the popup to link to a new event.
