creating combo charts

In previous versions of excel (Pre 2007) you were able to create combo graphs
with both bars and lines. I dont find that option at all now.

In Excel 2007 it looks like you need to create your own custom charts and
then save each one as a template.

The built in combo charts were kind of lame anyway. Make your own. Start
with a chart using the type that appears more in your final chart, then
select each of the series you want to change and use the Change Chart Type
button on the Chart Tools > Design tab to change the chart type of the
selected series.
