Creating Enterprise Resource Pool

I just started using PPro2k3 and server. I have an Active
Directory and Exchange. I want to create an Enterprise
Resource Pool. Two questions.
1. How do you create an Enterprise Resource Pool?
2. Can I import my users from the Active Directory or do
we have to set up each person manually?

goto Admin -> Server Confuguration,

You will see an option 'Active Directory Group to Synchronize', type in
the AD group name that contain your enterprise resources, and then click
Update Now.

Any way of doing this in Project Pro/Server 2002? I have not gotten beyond
the minimal productivity enhancement of being able to click on each user
from the 'directory' (which personally drives me up the proverbial wall).

For instance can I write a query to update SQL tables directly from AD?
