Creating .exe Files

Hello,

I work for Western Carolina University and I had a faculty member request
help creating a .exe file from a .mdb file. My thinking is that this is
possible only using VB to interface with the database, then compiling an
executable from that code.

Am I correct, or is this possible within Access 2002?
