Creating formula for unknow fields

I am trying to establish a query that will allow users to add entries to a
table but then will allow a query to look at all of the new entries and come
back with a result of 0 if nothing is entered for a specific project or come
back with totals if a particular subject has been added for a specific
project #. Right now my table shows field one as the project number, which is
the unique field for these entries, followed by Insurance, Insurance
Committed, Bond, Bond Committed, etc. It is these fields with the committed
that need to be calculated. This this possible? Help!!
