Creating macro in Word ?

Hello,

I received a request from one of our users that's asking to do the
following:

=====================
""The issue we had last time was that I would send the editors a Word
doc (which I asked them to edit online and send back to me ) but the
graphics, tables, etc. would cause the file to constantly crash and
freeze up at their end.

At one point, I stripped the graphics and it seemed to work much
better, however, it was a bit of work at my end and caused me to work
with multiple versions of the file which was somewhat confusing.

My question is - is there any way possible to have a second macro
developed that strips graphics and/or tables and allows me to generate
a Word doc for this back and forth editing purposes prior to me
generating the final document (which I still need to do)?"""
====================

Please let me know if you have any ideas on how I might answer her
question. She's running Win XP with Office 2000.

Thanks in advance for any help !

there are a couple of
things to look at. but
frankly, its a bit too much
to contemplate with postings

but one simple solution would
be that instead of sending the
file back and fourth, to instead
work, save and view the one file
from a central folder on a server.

it is a similar theory used for a single
database file used by many persons.

the file, while being edited by one
user is locked and cannot be modified by
anyone else until it is saved by that user.

almost forgot,.

if you use the centralize
method of storing the file and
utilize the file locking feature,
you will be able to send a link instead of
the whole file back and fourth....
