hello, i hope i'm posting this in the correct place. i don't have a lot of
experience with the custom installation wizard, so i hope i have my lingo
down correctly. i (think) am trying to create an msi file that will install
office 2003 from a prf file? basically, when a new user clicks on the prf
file, i want it to install office 2003 and configure outlook with our
exchange server name, and fill in their user name, which is the same as the
computer name. i'm not sure where to begin, so any assistance would be
appreciated!

Hi Matt,

The Office 2003 Custom Installation Wizard creates a Transfrom (.MST) file that is used with the Office Installation File (.MSI) to
install customizations. You may want to have a look at the Office 2003 Resource Kit for some details
http://office.microsoft.com/ork2003

There are a couple of odd things that can happen within Office if the computer and user name are the same.
