Creating multiple (new) lines of text within a cell.

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I have used Microsoft Excel for many years, but am a new user of Excel for Mac. I used to be able to create multiple (new) lines of text within a cell by selecting "alt+tab" to create a new line; however, I have not figured out how to do this same function in Excel for Mac.
