Creating Multiple Slide Sequences in a Single Show

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Power PC Hello America,

I have created a single slide show for a major corporation that has 300+ slides. It is currently divided into 30 Chapters, and each slide has a footer with a navigation, allowing the user to jump around the entire presentation.

But now, I have a need to create 5-10 different sequences using the same slides. I want to avoid duplicating the file, and either hiding slides, or deleting slides in order to create a unique "odd" sequence.

Is there any way to program "multiple" unique sequences, so when a link is selected is activates a certain programmed sequence?

You want to create Custom Shows. That is exactly the feature you are looking
for. You can any slides in any order to your custom shows and link directly
to a custom show.

David.....that was darn ice for you to reply so fast.

One more follow up.

If using the mouse or the arrows keys to advance slides...on the normal, "non-custom" show. When Custom Slide shows are employed to show a sequence of "odd" slides.....how is a Custom Show advanced?

While you¹re in a custom show, it behaves just like a regular show. If you
set the custom show to show slides 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 21, 27, then a
clicking the mouse button or space bar will follow the slides in that order
basically as if the other slides didn¹t exist. A button that is hyperlinked
to ³Next slide² will also follow that order. That is, a next slide button on
slide 15 will take you to slide 17.

PS. For some of your uses, you might also look into hidden slides, but I
think for this Custom Shows is really what you are after.

Can Custom show be used to mix two themes together ie slides from 2 different themes into one slideshow?

I believe the answer is yes and no. Yes, in that a custom show can include
any and all slides from a presentation. But no in that one slide can¹t have
one theme for one custom show and a different one for a different custom
show.
