Creating my XML project file

T

Tristan Leask

Hello all,

I am new to this lark of creating an xml file for use with MS Project. So
far i have managed to create an xml file with only a couple of elements
included (Ones that i can only fill out). In the task node i have listed
off some jobs and i have filed in their PercentComplete element. Strange
thing is that if it is 100%, Project imports the percentage okay, but if i
have it at say 60, Project just ignores my value. Here are a list of nodes
and elements i am creating...

Project
Name
Title
Company
Author
ScheduledFromStart
StartDate
FinishDate

Tasks
Task
UID
ID
Name
Start
Finish
ConstraintType (Always 2)
ConstraintDate (Same as Start)
FixedCostAccrual (Always 2 to keep Project happy)
PercentComplete

I have set the percent work complete as well and this made no difference.
This was also the case with Physical Percent Complete.

If anyone can help, that would be great!

Cheers,

Tristan

Try saving a project with a task at 60% complete to see how Project does it.
Just make a project with one or two tasks to keep the file simple.
