Creating new Distribution List

I have two contact lists, one that is just mine (which is empty) and one that
is for our whole company. I am trying to make a distribution list using the
contacts in the global company list, but the Distribution List dialogue box
doesn't list that as possible places to look for contacts, just my contact
list. How do I change it to look in the global list?
