Hi:

Have you tried migrating the analysis services repository
to a SQL Server Database?

See page 115 of the installation guide.

Hope it helps

This is a newbie question.
I just recently completed my install of Project Server
2003 on my WSS server. Everything appears to be fine, and
when I try to create the OLAP cube, I am prompted with an
error message. "Unable to connect to analysis server"
I am trying to create this OLAP cube on my database
server which is different from my Project Server.
I made sure the account I am using is an OLAP admin and I
am connected to the correct server. I checked the COM+
settings and also if the Analysis Service has been
installed on the database server. I'm not sure what else
I could be missing. Does anyone know what I could be
missing or what I may be doing wrong? Any assistance
would be greatly appreciated.

Hi ther

I guess you have 2 servers, one for Project Server & Windows SHarePoint Services, and another for SQL 2000. And I bet that you have installed Service pack 3 for the SQL database & Analysis Server. When Analysis Services is installed on a different computer than Project Server 2003, the Decision Support Objects component of Analysis Services must be installed on the Project Server 2003 computer. Check Small Scale Deployment Roadmap from the installation guide

Hope this helps
